He Came Back
A couple came by the Great Works tent. They spun the prize wheel and were looking at some totes and our shirts. Liked the LOVED design. It was a hot day so I didn't have the hoodies out, but I had to show them the LOVED hoodie that the design was based on.
He picked it up. Looked it over. Felt the weight of it in his hands.
Then he put it down and walked away.
An hour later, he came back.
He tried the hoodie on in a couple sizes and he bought it. And then he said something nobody asked him to say:
"Dude, you can tell how good the quality is on this."
He wasn't selling it to us. He wasn't trying to make conversation. He just felt it, and said so.
This was a 14 oz fleece hoodie, much heavier than what most brands call "premium." That number doesn't mean much on its own. That's what makes someone pause after feeling the weight and softness. Even in the middle of summer, and still walking away with a hoodie.
That's not an accident. It's the whole point.
Here's what stuck with us about this one: he didn't buy on the first look, but he came back ready to go. That's not a bad thing. The quality, the weight, the LOVED design, the washed-green color, the small Ecclesiastes 3:11 on the chest, it clearly made an impact. He did say it was his favorite color.
