CHOSEN NOT FORSAKEN
Setting up an apparel pop-up inside a high-energy gym like Crunch Fitness comes with a very specific vibe. Music is pumping, weights are dropping, and people are locked into their physical fitness routines. It’s an environment where it is easy to blend into the background, stay comfortable, and just watch people pass by the table.
But recently, during an eight-hour afternoon stretch at the Crunch Santa Clarita location, the Lord reminded us that our physical location is always our spiritual mission field.
Pouring Into the Next Generation
The foot traffic was steady, but rather than focusing strictly on transactional conversations, we committed to staying completely present and interactive with the gym members walking by. That intentionality opened a door.
A young man stopped at the booth, drawn in by the bold, minimalist messaging on our streetwear pieces. What started as a casual conversation about oversized fits and athletic gear quickly shifted into a transparent, deep spiritual dialogue.
He began asking real, high-stakes questions about faith, walking out biblical principles, and navigating the unique cultural pressures facing Gen Z and Millennials today.
Business as a Ministry
Instead of rushing the interaction to look for the next sale, we took the time to slow down, look him in the eyes, and pour directly into his life. It wasn't a formal sermon; it was real, raw lifestyle discipleship happening right on the commercial gym floor. We got to answer his questions, encourage his spirit, and challenge him to anchor his true identity in Christ before his career or industry.
We are deeply thankful for these encounters. It reminded us that Great Works is a business, but it is a business fully operating as a ministry marketplace outpost.
When we equip the community with premium athleisure, our prayer is that it gives you the absolute confidence to have those exact same conversation-starting, discipling moments in your daily life.
